We are pleased to announce the introduction of new features in the ePrice system aimed at improving user workflow and increasing efficiency. Below is a detailed description of the updates included in the upcoming system release.
Ability to Hide Products, Sales Groups, and Suppliers
One of the key new features is the ability to hide products, sales groups, and suppliers in the salesperson's view ("Prices" plugin in ONe). With this functionality, sales directors and pricing managers can precisely control which data is visible and accessible to salespeople and which product sets they can use to set conditions for customers. Hiding data helps tailor the user interface to actual work needs, minimizing errors and improving productivity.
How it Works
In the salesperson's view (the "Prices" plugin in BE ONe), access can be restricted so that users do not see all available SKUs, sales groups, or suppliers, and therefore cannot create new sales rules based on hidden items. This is done using a mechanism known as the grey list.
Grey lists are a configuration method that allows the hiding of specific SKUs, sales groups, or suppliers.
Visibility is configured in one of two ways – either everything is visible by default, or everything is hidden by default.
-
The first approach allows initial access to all SKUs, groups, and suppliers, with the option to hide selected items when necessary.
-
The second approach hides everything by default and requires users to explicitly choose the items that should be visible in the salesperson panel.
Benefits of Data Hiding
Hiding products, sales groups, and suppliers offers several benefits:
-
Better workflow organization – Salespeople only see the data they need, helping them focus on relevant tasks.
-
Increased margin security – Limiting access to data reduces the risk of working with product sets that could lead to unfavorable pricing.
To activate this functionality (disabled by default) or for more information, please contact your system administrator.
Global Filter in the B2B Rule List Dictionary
The second new feature is the global filter that allows hiding historical rules in the B2B Rule List Dictionary. This option improves clarity when managing rules, allowing users to more easily find active and relevant entries without sifting through outdated ones.
How it Works
Global filters are mechanisms that limit data visibility across the entire ePrice application. When the filter is enabled, upon launching the app and opening the Rule List Dictionary, users will only see current and future rules.
To disable the filter and gain access to historical rules, the user must be added to the Exclusion list, which grants them permission to manage (enable/disable) the filter. These exclusions are defined individually per user.
Benefits of the Global Filter
-
Increased clarity – Hiding outdated rules results in a cleaner, easier-to-navigate list.
-
Efficient management – Users can quickly find and manage the active rules without confusing them with old ones.
-
Work optimization – A simplified list allows for more efficient work and faster decision-making.
To activate this functionality (disabled by default) or for more information, please contact your system administrator.
Default Filters in Dictionaries
The third new feature is the ability to customize default filters for specific views. This allows filters to be tailored to the needs of specific user profiles. Users no longer need to manually add their preferred filters each time they open a dictionary view.
Benefits
-
Personalization – Each user profile can have filters customized to individual needs and preferences.
-
Efficiency – Saves time by avoiding repetitive filter configuration.
-
Ease of use – Users don’t need to add filters manually every time they access a dictionary view.
How to Set Default Filters
To change default settings for a user profile, please submit a request via Zendesk including the following:
-
User profile – The profile for which the changes should apply.
-
Dictionary – The dictionary view where the changes are needed.
-
Default filters – The list of filters to be shown by default.
-
Initial filter values – Optional default values for each filter (and specify which filters should be locked, if needed).
For detailed information, please contact your system administrator.
Summary
The new ePrice features are designed to streamline processes and boost user efficiency. The ability to hide products, sales groups, and suppliers, as well as the introduction of a global filter in the B2B Rule List Dictionary, are important steps toward a more transparent, organized, and secure system. We encourage all users to take advantage of these improvements and experience the benefits firsthand.
Thank you for your trust and continued support.
