To add new order status, You have to: 

1. Go to the Order Statuses tab in the Dictionaries section of Configurations tab
2. Click "Add order status" in right section of page 
3. Enter the required information
4. If you want a message to be sent to the customer when the order status changes to the created one, select "Send notification".
