In light of the new GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation) requirements, every business that manufactures, distributes, or imports products must adapt their systems to comply with this regulation. To assist with this process, we have prepared a brief guide explaining how to add the required technical attributes to product cards to ensure compliance with the current regulations.

The GPSR regulation does not apply to certain categories of products, including:

• Food
• Beverages
• Medical and pharmaceutical products
• Pet food
• Plants and animals
• Plant protection products
• Antiques

According to the GPSR regulations, the following information must be included on the product card:

    1. Manufacturer Information:

• The name, registered trade name, or registered trademark of the manufacturer.
• Postal and electronic contact details for reaching the manufacturer.
• If the manufacturer is based outside the European Union, the details of the responsible person must be provided, as outlined in Article 16(1) of the GPSR regulation or Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020.

    2. Product Identification Information:

• Product name, type, image, and other identifiers.

    3. Safety Warnings:

• Any safety warnings or information that should be included on the product, packaging, or in the accompanying documentation. This information must be provided in a language easily understood by consumers, as determined by the member state where the product is placed on the market.

Adding Technical Attributes to Product Cards To adjust the product card to meet GPSR requirements, you need to add the appropriate technical attributes in your ERP systems. Here's how to do it:

    1. Navigate to the "Configuration" tab in the ePim system.

• Go to the Attributes sub-tab.

    2. Add a new attribute:

    3. Fill in the attribute. For example, you may add a safety warning or other safety-related information attribute, such as "Warnings."

    4. Save changes:

• The new attribute will be visible on the product card under the Attributes tab.

    5. Complete the attribute data:

• Enter the relevant information, such as a safety warning that must be included on the product card.

Using the Short Description: If additional data or detailed information is required, you can use the short description section for each product.

1. Go to the selected product, then in the General tab, choose Product Description.

     2. Fill in the short product description and save the changes.
